Lombardi®, a leader in business process management (BPM) software, today announced it was named a Human-Centric BPMS for Banking and Investments Leader by independent analyst firm Forrester Research in its August 2007 published report, “The Forrester Wave™: Human-Centric BPMS For Banking And Investments, Q3 2007.”

In the report, Mary Pilecki, senior analyst at Forrester Research writes that “Lombardi has a strong banking customer base while its investment base is still growing.” More than two dozen financial services organizations across the North American and European markets have adopted the award-winning TeamWorks® BPM platform in support their core business processes in the past year. According to Forrester, “where Lombardi excels is in its modeling and process solution tools — making it extremely easy for clients to design, build, and test processes.”

With this new Banking and Investment Wave report, Lombardi has been cited three times by Forrester as a leader in human-centric BPM-related reports in the past 12 months. Most recently, Lombardi was named a leader in the August 2007 published report, “The Forrester Wave™: Human-Centric BPM For Java Platforms, Q3 2007. In that report, Colin Teubner, an analyst at Forrester Research wrote that, “Collaborative development is a major differentiator in Lombardi’s BPMS: Both design and runtime collaboration tools are provided that really set this product apart from its competitors,” and that, “It’s impossible to find a single dissatisfied customer.” A complimentary copy of the independent report is available for download at: http://www.lombardi.com/forrester-wave-07-sp.php .

Lombardi was also named a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Human-Centric BPMS For Insurance, Q3 2006, published in September 2006. Lombardi, in conjunction with its partner Fiserv, was jointly cited in the Insurance-focused BPM Wave for their strong insurance industry capabilities, excellent business process design and fluency with BPMS and IT industry standards. Marc Cecere, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester wrote that “Although BPMS installations are limited, Fiserv's insurance expertise and Lombardi's deep process modeling knowledge is a powerful combination for BPMS engagements.”

“Some of the largest and most important financial transactions in the world including literally thousands of people and ten’s of millions of events rely on our software,” said Phil Gilbert, EVP and CTO at Lombardi. “That so many have adopted our business process management products speaks volumes to the level of trust that these companies have placed in the scalability and openness of our software and the strength of our company.”

In February 2007, Lombardi released Blueprint™, the first on-demand collaborative process planning tool that enables companies to map processes, identify problems and prioritize improvement opportunities. Processes created in Blueprint can be published in Teamworks 6 Enterprise and executed instantaneously. Any changes made to process models in the Teamworks Authoring Environment, such as those recommended by the Teamworks Optimizer , are published back to the Blueprint repository for complete, round-trip integration. This approach allows for rapid, iterative process-model development and collaboration between business analysts and process authors.

“We are proud to be positioned once again as a Leader in a human-centric BPM-related report by Forrester,” said Rod Favaron, president and CEO of Lombardi. "Lombardi is clearly playing a critical role in helping industries like financial services and insurance rapidly improve their business process efficiencies."

Lombardi Teamworks is a leading BPM software suite for designing, executing, and improving business processes. Teamworks for Office™ makes it easy for anyone to participate in business process management using the familiar Microsoft® Office System products. Lombardi Blueprint™ is the only on-demand collaborative process planning tool that enables companies to map processes, identify problems and prioritize improvement opportunities.
