Lombardi(R), a leader in business process management (BPM) software, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the "Leaders" quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites, 2007 report.     The Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites, 2007 evaluated 22 vendors and "summarizes the state of the market for business process management suites (BPMSs)." Lombardi, and its flagship product, Teamworks(R), was reviewed by Gartner in terms of ten features/functionality areas defined for this Magic Quadrant.

According to Gartner, "Leaders are distinguished by their focus on driving a paradigm shift toward increased business user participation in the entire process improvement life cycle by enabling explicit, model-driven solution deployment rather than traditional coded approaches." The report continues to point out that "they excel at enabling collaboration among business users and IT professionals, from the design and modeling phase through execution and optimization, using an iterative process improvement methodology in which the artifacts (outputs) of each phase move seamlessly into the next."

Building on Lombardi's vision for BPM, it introduced Blueprint(TM) (http://www.lombardi.com/bpm-blueprint-product.php), an 'on-demand' documenting tool that is used to collaboratively map an organization's business processes, identify problems, and prioritize improvement opportunities.
