London, UK (PRWEB UK) 15 January 2013
The London-based Cadogan Clinic, a leading private healthcare centre, announced that four of its specialists in the fields of dermatology, vascular treatments, plastic and reconstructive surgery were selected to be included in a guide to Britain’s 250 best doctors. Produced as a supplement by Tatler magazine, the ‘Doctors Guide’ is now in its fourth edition, recognising the most reputable medical experts in the UK. The Cadogan Clinic consultants who have been included in the Tatler's 2013 Doctors Guide are leading experts in their respective fields and some of the most prominent surgeons, not just in South West London where the Mayfair facility is based, but in the whole country. As announced by the clinic, the Cadogan healthcare specialists profiled in the Tatler guide are Dr Susan Mayou, Mr David Gault, Mr Bryan Mayou and Mr John Scurr.
Dermatologist Dr Susan Mayou is a co-founder of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and was also one of the founders of the Cadogan Clinic in Chelsea five years ago. The Tatler guide to best UK medical experts highlighted Dr Mayou for her expertise which ranges from eczema and teenage acne to mole-mapping, Fillers and Botox treatment.
Described by the Doctors Guide as “a whizz with ears,” Mr David Gault of the Cadogan Clinic works in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. As noted in the Tatler edition, he can make patients’ ears smaller or larger, change their shape or repair lobes damaged by jewellery. Mr Gault is also an expert in surgery which reshapes the ears of newborns using a new minimal-risk splinting operation. The 2013 Doctors Guide quotes Mr Gault as saying: “What people think can’t be done is relatively routine to me.”
The third Cadogan Clinic practitioner featured in the influential annual guide, Mr Bryan Mayou, is also a specialist in the plastic and reconstructive surgery field, prominent for providing renouned medical service at Cadogan’s London liposuction clinic. As well as carrying out body-contouring procedures, Mr Mayou oversees reconstructive surgery at the Cadogan Clinic, in addition to the wound-healing and scar treatment service. As the Doctors Guide remarks, “he reconstructs any skin defects after the clinic’s dermatologists have carried out Mohs surgery for removing skin tumours.”
Tatler’s latest edition of the Doctors Guide also profiled Mr John Scurr of the Cadogan Clinic’ vascular surgery team of specialists. Mr Scurr has been at the forefront of improvements in the treatment of varicose veins and has trained hundreds of surgeons over 20 years. As noted by Tatler, he assesses patients using ultrasound -- a method that he introduced to venous surgery -- and his recurrence rate is less than 10 per cent.
