The seventh annual LoneStarRuby Conference (LSRC) has been scheduled once again at the Norris Conference Center July 18-20, 2013. Tickets are now available for purchase via the official LSRC website

LoneStarRuby Conference 2013 is a dual track, three-day event where over 300 of the brightest Ruby professionals share their thoughts on advancement, techniques and issues. Speakers and attendees come from a variety of software development disciplines, but all share a common passion to make web applications better than ever.

A full day of training will be held 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 at the Norris Conference Center in Austin, including a free and open-to-the-public Learn to Code Workshop. LSRC 2013 will follow Friday, July 19 from 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 20 from 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

LoneStarRuby is proud to host a RailsBridge event July 18, 2013 that is free with registration and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

Featured keynotes will be provided by Sandi Metz (opening July 19), Steve Klabnik (closing July 19) Katrina Owen (opening July 20) and Avdi Grimm (closing July 20).

LoneStarRuby has accepted some of the top Ruby professionals in Texas, and around the world including Dave Thomas (The Pragmatic Bookshelf), James Edward Gray II (Ruby Rogues), Akira Matsuda (CRuby Core Member), Ashe Dryden (Ashe Dryden Development, LLC), Adam Keys (Living Social), Evan Light (Triple Dog Dare), and Alan Skorkin (Envato), with others to be annnounced.

The LSRC is unique in that it is the only Ruby focused conference in the state of Texas. Organizer, Lance Vaughn is in his first year as President of the LoneStarRuby Foundation expects this event will further establish Austin as a center of excellence in the United States for Ruby development and training. "Every year LSRC draws people from all over the state and all over the globe, because of the great presentations, training sessions, and the opportunity to socialize with fellow Rubyists. Two panels this year in particular are exciting. Rackspace, Engine Yard, and Heroku are duking it out over cloud computing, and Ruby Rogues are going to be doing a version of their weekly podcast live.”
