Long Island. New York (PRWEB) November 09, 2012

As residents of Long Island and the rest of the tri-state area begin to get back on their feet and life starts to get back to normal, many people are finding themselves with transportation problems beyond the current fuel shortage. In our quest to find how businesses are operating under the current conditions on Long Island, we found Lexus of Smithtown to be fully operational with a full staff of highly trained specialists to assist with all their customer’s automotive needs during this time of rebuilding.

We spoke with Service Director Dan Munsinger, who explained that many vehicles were damaged locally by rising flood waters, falling trees and limbs, and flying debris. He cautions, “Though the technological advances in today’s vehicles help make driving easier, they can also complicate matters when it comes to repairs, especially the types of repairs we are seeing due to Sandy.” Mr. Munsinger continued, “The on board computer and wiring systems can become severely damaged due to exposure to water, and these systems should be inspected and restored by properly trained and certified technicians to avoid any further damage to the vehicle and for the safety of the driver. We have highly trained diagnostic specialists ready to assist the clients and repair their vehicles.”

As we toured the dealership, we met with General Sales Manager Frank Galante, who explained “That with so many people dealing with all kinds of issues from the storm we are here to help with their vehicle needs and make the vehicle replacement process as convenient as possible. Thankfully, December to Remember is here early with great values, just in time to help our clients during this time. We’ve also introduced a Lexus Financial Services 90-day deferred payment program to help ease the immediate stress of a car payment for our customers,” said Mr. Galante.

“We are here for the community and willing to go the extra mile to make things as easy as possible for our clients until the Island is able get back to normal,” Mr. Galante went on, “In fact, anyone who needs transportation, we will make special arrangements to pick people up at their home or business.” The day we visited, Sales Manager Tim Burns personally picked up a customer in need in Long Beach and brought her to the dealership where they helped her with her insurance claim and got her on her way.
