Longwood’s SNVC Institute for Leadership Values recently underwent a name change to become the SNVC Institute for Leadership and Innovation. This name change reflects the increased importance on creativity and innovation for business and personal success. The change also signals an expansion of the Institute’s offerings, with “Innovation Labs” positioning the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as a foundation for innovation. The Institute’s Innovation Labs will offer clients the opportunity to innovatively address organizational issues in partnership with Longwood faculty and students. The Institute continues to promote effective leadership through the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People signature program, based on Dr. Stephen Covey’s best-selling book. The SNVC Institute for Leadership and Innovation is housed in Longwood University’s College of Business and Economics.

In addition to the update of the Institute’s name, it also got a new face; Ms. Robin Daniels. The Richmond, VA native is especially excited about the potential development opportunities that the Institute holds for Longwood’s students, faculty, and administrative staff. Daniels said, “This type of program will give our students a real competitive edge in their communities, businesses, and personal as well as professional relationships.”
