Maria Uspenski, The Tea Spot’s CEO, will be making a vendor presentation about the company’s launch of cold brew teas on Friday at 2:30 PM at the Healthy Beverage Expo. Uspenski’s focus at The Tea Spot is new product development, and she holds multiple U.S. Patents on the company’s line of Steepware® – housewares designed specifically for easy preparation and serving of loose leaf tea. The Tea Spot has also been selected to present two education sessions they have authored: “Raising the Bar: Taking Tea to New Heights in the Coffee Shop” on Friday June 7th and “Growing a Customer Base on a Shoestring Budget: Marketing Strategies with High ROI” on Saturday June 8th.
“Raising the Bar: Taking Tea to New Heights in the Coffee Shop” will be presented by The Tea Spot’s tea consultant Bo Olson. Bo advises coffee shop owners and managers on how to maximize tea sales by fine-tuning their tea lists, specialty drink menus, employee training materials, customer support and operational procedures. His vast base of practical knowledge comes from over six years of barista and professional marketing experience in infusing, blending and educating customers about specialty tea. Bo is expert in producing positive change through effective communication, tea education, and compassionate customer service. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Bo has presented at many events ranging from the World Tea Expo, and corporate customer trainings to poetry readings and musical performances.
Saturday’s session “Growing a Customer Base on a Shoestring Budget: Marketing Strategies with High ROI” is offered by The Tea Spot’s CMO, Jessica Kochik. Jessica spearheads the marketing of two emerging brands in the natural products industry – The Tea Spot & Brewlux®. Central to the development of The Tea Spot’s thriving online community, Kochik has grown revenues over 50% year-over-year for the past six years and has implemented the marketing strategies yielding a customer retention rate of over 50%.
