Flashes of Hope strives to provide the families of children diagnosed with cancer an image of their child; their beauty, courage and dignity, forever showcasing strong children and the hope that they possess. Since 2001, over 43,830 children have been photographed, supplying parents with an invaluable gift. The funds that are raised at ‘Princess of the Day’ are donated to further children’s cancer research.
Lori Flynn of Century 21 Scheetz invites her community to join in to support this cause. It not only raises money to fund cancer research, but allows the children in the community the opportunity to have fun and feel like a princess for the day. Each child that is registered for the ‘Princess of the Day’ event gets to participate in hair styling, mini-mani’s, makeup application, a princess photo shoot, meeting the 500 festival princesses, face painting, magicians and more. The attending parents also get to have some fun through a silent auction.
“I am so happy to be driving awareness for this,” says Lori. “Flashes of Hope is benefitting such a great cause, and they are doing it in such an interactive way. What little girl doesn’t want to be a princess?”
