We couldn't think of a better way to show our appreciation for our customers and give a nod to our company's founder than by helping people in the community enjoy a proper Thanksgiving dinner.
Athens, Tenn. (PRWEB) November 16, 2015
In commemoration of its seventieth anniversary, East Tennessee-based metal fabricator Mills Products Incorporated has donated 70 Thanksgiving turkeys to the Tennessee Wesleyan College Love Thy Neighbor Project in the name of its customers.
Founded in 1945 by Herbert E. Mills, Mills Products has continuously innovated ways to create lightweight and strong tubular metal parts for the appliance, automotive, furniture, and heavy truck industries. One of Mills’ pioneering achievements was a 1948 patent for the oven door window assembly, which allowed oven manufacturers to incorporate a pane of reinforced glass into oven doors so that users could view what was cooking without having to open the door. This invention revolutionized oven design and transformed how people experienced the iconic turkey roasting that is at the center of Thanksgiving.
“Our seventieth anniversary has been cause for reflection, especially now with the holidays,” said Darrell Adcock, President of Mills Products. “We decided we wanted to do something to show our sincere appreciation for our customers, while also giving a little nod to our company’s founder and our history. We couldn't think of a better way to do so than by helping more people in our community have a proper Thanksgiving dinner by contributing turkeys to the Tennessee Wesleyan College Love Thy Neighbor Project.”
