LPB Energy Management(LPB) announced today that it has recently been awarded a nationwide Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide Federal Agencies with comprehensive energy services. GSA awarded the BPA to a team of industry-leading energy firms, including Farnsworth Group and Boreal Renewable Energy Development, in addition to LPB. The team, operating under the name Boreal Energy Services Team, will help Agencies meet energy and greenhouse gas reduction goals outlined by the Recovery Act and the President’s Executive Order on Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance (13514).

The Blanket Purchase Agreement will help Agencies leverage their purchasing power to improve the energy performance of their buildings, reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions and create jobs. Designed to streamline ordering processes, this contracting vehicle can be utilized by program, energy, and facility managers to perform energy audits, conduct commissioning/retro-commissioning, strategically manage and analyze usage and emissions data, install metering systems, and implement innovative efficiency and renewable energy solutions.

The Boreal Energy Services Team has also been designated a small business, thereby helping Federal Agencies meet their small business goals as they conduct various energy projects.

“Through the investments of the Recovery Act and the goals of Executive Order 13514, the Federal Government has demonstrated its intent to provide leadership on energy efficiency by improving the performance of its buildings," said Matthew Berke, president of LPB. “As shown by the award of this innovative energy service program, LPB continues to provide a service to Federal Agencies that will help them better manage energy usage, curtail consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
