The direct interface with our customers is very enjoyable for us because it helps us connect on a more personal level.

Alpha Metal Finishing Company is finding new ways to connect with its customers. In 2011 they hosted their first free lunch and learn event to a group of 16 people on the topic of color anodizing. The event was sponsored by one of Alpha's key chemical suppliers and the response from customers was extremely positive. "We really enjoyed interacting with our customers face to face and the lunch and learn gave us a great way to show our appreciation to them." said Greg Wood, Chief Operating Officer. "The topic overview plus the question and answer time on color anodizing issues gave us the opportunity to dig deeper on some of the more technical issues that they tend to experience."
Lissa Fisher, Sales Manager at Alpha, found the interaction valuable as well: “The lunch and learn really addressed some of the preconceived notions of what anodizing can and cannot do. It helped our customers understand more clearly that imperfections in material cannot always be corrected by anodizing.” Lissa also stated “The direct interface with our customers is very enjoyable for us because it helps us connect on a more personal level."
Alpha plans to host its second annual lunch and learn event November 7, 2012 on the topic of chemical film processing. The topic will include an overview of the advantages of trivalent chromate process vs. hexavalent chromate. Information related to this event can be found on their website at http://www.alphametal.com.
