“When we determined to open North and South American operations,” says Lyoness Chief Executive Officer Mario Hoffmann, “We were looking for a very special location. At Lyoness, vision and cause are very important to us, as evidenced by our Child and Family Foundation*. And we know that a sense of cause is reinforced by metaphor: How is what we do symbolized? That is one of the reasons we chose to locate our New York headquarters in the Empire State Bldg., looking out on the Statue of Liberty! The symbol of freedom in America is also a great symbol for the economic freedom Lyoness promotes around the world!”

When the opportunity was presented to lease 6,000 square feet in the Empire State Building overlooking the Statue of Liberty, Mario says, “We jumped at it. We were aware that this great building had seen better days and that the building could no longer summon prominent tenants as newer buildings do. But with the planned $550 million update, the Empire State Building has a vision for the future, and so does Lyoness!”

The iconic Empire State Building is a landmark that resonates well not only with Lyoness Members in America but with millions of other Lyoness Members around the world. “Everyone recognizes the historical importance of such a great building!” Mario says. And that greatness is being restored: the Empire State Building recently received a Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Just as it once was the tallest building in the US, it now is the tallest LEED building in the US!

Lyoness COO Angela Schadl says, “The fact that the Empire State Building is making a commitment to the environment also is very important to us, because it agrees with the mission of Lyoness Greenfinity Foundation’s commitment to the environment.”

Lyoness America launched US operations at its 6,000 sq. ft. offices in New York City’s Empire State Building more than two years ago.
