John Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research finds that more than 31, 000 people a year in the United States die from gunshot wounds. Because the victims are disproportionately young, the research suggests that gun violence is one of the leading causes of premature mortality in the United States. In addition to those deaths, there is an estimated 337, 960 non-fatal violent crimes committed with guns.

Boston Firearms Training Center is sickened to learn the grim facts behind these statistics. As a full service training facility located just 10 minutes from Boston, MA, we provide firearm safety training and enable U.S. citizens to become safe, responsible and caring gun owners.

“We want to provide our participants with practical experience, so that they will be prepared to deal with the violence in the outside world,” said Tom Cheffro. “We do not rely on simulations to run our programs. We want our participants to quickly grasp the basic concepts of gun safety and for that we need real firearms to train with.”

Training center instructor and staff are well qualified for their work and are very customer friendly. They provide the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for using or owning a firearm through the use of live firearm training courses - offered 7 days a week. Successful completion of the training courses is a basic requirement prior to applying for a state handgun permit in Massachusetts.

“Our instructors do not promote nor do they support gun violence and firearm misuse,” added Cheffro. “We were all saddened to learn about the grim repercussions of the recent shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. All it takes is for a gun to get into the wrong hands. As responsible gun owners, we are determined to promote gun safety and do our part to ensure that the students we teach understand the repercussions of their actions.”
