Recording Artist and Label Owner Martin Atkins to speak at Madison Media Institute|College of Media Arts

Renowned drummer and author of Tour: Smart, Martin Atkins will hold a seminar and book signing at Madison Media Institute. Madison, WI (PRWEB) February 2, 2009 -- Renowned drummer and author of Tour: Smart, Martin Atkins will hold a seminar and book signing at Madison Media Institute. Best known as a member of several post-punk and industrial groups, including Pigface and Public Image Ltd., Atkins also has performed with such bands as Ministry, Killing Joke, and Nine Inch Nails. Founder of Chicago-based Invisible Records, for over twenty years Atkins has discovered and promoted numerous bands. In addition, he currently teaches "The Business of Touring" at Columbia College in Chicago. His book Tour: Smart, an insider's guide for bands hitting the often perilous road, has been called "The ultimate touring manual" by Mojo Magazine.
