NEW YORK (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) February 5, 2008 -- THE WEEK (www.theweekdaily.com), America's fastest growing news and opinion magazine, has appointed Danielle Yuen as marketing director. Based in New York City, Yuen is responsible for overseeing marketing operations, including promotional/collateral materials and merchandising, as well as signature events and research.

Danielle's leadership at SELF and her track record of success throughout her career makes her the perfect choice to lead The Week's marketing operations
Yuen previously served as creative services director at SELF magazine, where she managed the promotional and merchandising programs and was named SELFs Marketer of the Year in 2004. Before joining SELF, Yuen worked at Meredith Corporation as promotions director for More Magazine. Prior, Yuen served as marketing manager for the Primedia Teen Internet Group, Parade Publications, and was merchandising manager for Better Homes & Gardens.

"Danielles leadership at SELF and her track record of success throughout her career makes her the perfect choice to lead The Week's marketing operations," said Steven Kotok, general manager of THE WEEK. "Danielles experience, energy, and creativity will enable us to effectively reach and further expand our engaged, affluent and information-hungry audience."

Yuen graduated from St. Josephs College in Brooklyn, NY with a Bachelor of Mathematics. She completed graduate course work in Direct Marketing at New York University.
