Magazines.com, the oldest, the largest and the most dependable magazine subscription service on the Internet, has been named a 2010 Future 50 winner. This award is an annual recognition program of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the 50 fastest-growing, privately-owned companies in the Nashville area.

“We are honored to be recognized as a Future 50 by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce,” said Jay Clarke, Magazines.com CEO and President. “This is a significant accomplishment and a reflection of the commitment, talent and determination of all of our associates at Magazines.com.”

Since its founding in 1999, Magazines.com has enjoyed a 10-year compound annual growth rate in excess of 50 percent.

Future 50 companies are identified through a nomination form, which includes questions about a company’s past and projected sales and employment growth. To be eligible, companies must be privately owned, headquartered in Middle Tennessee, have 10 or more employees or annual revenue of at least $500,000, and anticipate revenue and employment growth for the next three years. The nominations are collected by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and tabulated by KraftCPAs, the official accounting firm of the Future 50.

“Future 50 companies are a testament to the ideal business climate in Middle Tennessee. The success of these companies helps drive economic growth in this area,” said Chamber President & CEO Ralph Schulz. “The success of these companies reinforces Middle Tennessee’s reputation as a good place to start and grow a business. It’s important that we recognize these companies for the contributions to our community.”

“Recognition like this is so important for small business owners and their employees. It can provide the exposure and motivation to propel their business to a new level of success. Future 50 has provided that forum for nearly two decades,” said Charles Sueing, Nashville Chamber chair for small business and owner of The Sueing Agency/Nationwide Insurance.

Magazines.com will receive recognition as a Future 50 company at a reception and awards dinner on Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, 611 Commerce Street.
