Magazines.com Names Jeff Fields Chief Information Officer

Magazines.com, the largest and the most dependable magazine subscription service on the Internet, names Jeff Fields new Chief Information Officer.

Jeff Fields has been named Magazines.com Chief Information Officer, Magazines.com CEO and President Jay Clarke announced today.

"I am very excited about Jeff joining the executive team at Magazines.com. Jeff is a highly accomplished business technology leader," said Clarke. "He possesses a distinct blend of expertise in enterprise e-commerce, application development and data management. He is well-matched to continue the culture of growth and innovation that we have here at Magazines.com."

Most recently, Fields served as CIO-Senior Vice President of SafeAuto Insurance Company. Fields created an e-commerce delivery platform and organization that led to a significant migration of consumer revenues from offline channels to online.

Notably, under Fields’ leadership, SafeAuto Insurance was recently recognized by InformationWeek’s 500, which tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of the best-known organizations, as Masters of Technology for e-commerce implementation.

His achievements also include developing a direct to consumer strategy that included email, SEO programs, social media and blogs to drive traffic to the website. Fields also implemented a data warehousing solution that provided real-time analytics tracking and consistently achieved annual growth and productivity goals.

Fields also formerly held the position of CIO-Customer Operations/ Divisional Executive, Regulatory, Corporate Systems and E-Commerce at NCCI Holdings, Inc. from 2000-2007, where he was responsible for company-wide technology delivery and strategic plan development for the country’s largest provider of statistical information and ratemaking services for the workers’ compensation industry.
