Market America 2012 International Convention wraps up with company leaders reflecting on its successful past and plans for unprecedented growth in the future

Four days, 20,000 attendees, hundreds of presentations, one common goal – to enable motivated individuals to become the next generation of successful e-commerce.

Market America 2012 International Convention, held at the Greensboro Coliseum from August 9-12, showcased the Greensboro, N.C.-based company’s 20 years of success, starting from its humble beginnings in a one-story home to the multimillion dollar product brokerage and internet marketing company known the world over. In addition, company leaders, including founder, President and Chief Executive Officer JR Ridinger, spotlighted new products and programs designed to catapult the company’s success for the forseeable future.

“What 20 years means to me, I can’t even express it,” said JR Ridinger. “This company was built for the future. We have a model that’s built to change with the times and stay ahead of the curve.”

JR and Loren Ridinger also hosted personal friend Khloe Kardashian, reality TV star and successful entrepreneur, who attended International Convention to show her support of the company and celebrate its 20th anniversary. Among the highlights:

  •     JR Ridinger and Chief Operating Officer Marc Ashley detailed the company’s plans to bring the Market America UnFranchise® Business System and Market America-branded products to new customers in more than 100 countries worldwide through the upcoming Web Portal.
  •     Ashley detailed the newest features on the SHOP.COM site, including the completion of the technology integration between and SHOP.COM. Other features and functionalities highlighted include: the fastest and most relevant search capabilities available on a comparative shopping web site; the integration of more than 35 million products for sale through SHOP.COM from companies such as Target, Best Buy, Nike, Apple, Samsung and more; the highly successful Cashback program allowing customers to earn money for shopping; and unique features such as the digital personal shopping assistant ShopBuddyTM, ShipFree, and more
  •     Loren Ridinger, Senior Vice President of Market America/SHOP.COM and creator of the Motives by Loren Ridinger® cosmetics brand, introduced the makeup line’s new Fall/Winter 2012 Runway Collection, as well as the latest additions to Motives® for La La, her much-heralded collaboration with actress and VH1 reality star La La Anthony.
  •     The company’s weight management division, TLS® Weight Loss Solution, announced the winners of the first-ever TLS Find Your Fit Challenge and awarded more than $15,000 in cash and prizes to individuals for achieving their weight loss goals. In addition, TLS launched its second Find Your Fit Challenge, which will award more than $30,000 in cash and prizes.
