Maintenance Connection, a leader in the field of computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), recently sent members of its staff to Cambodia in order to partner with one of their customers, Young Life Ministries, to provide support for impoverished youths in the country as the first foray into its "MC Gives Back" program. Young Life operates a number of community centers in the nation's capital of Phnom Penh that provide the local youngsters with a safe venue in which they can complete school assignments and socialize with friends in a positive environment.

Each center is outfitted with computers that represent an opportunity for the children to learn practical skills on that will be useful to them when they enter the workforce as adults.

Maintenance Connection provided them with basic training in Microsoft Office during their visit. In addition, they also upgraded the computers and computer networks and even put their backs into a little manual labor by painting and repairing the buildings where necessary.

"Our team was able to build relationships with the Cambodians and make an impact that we're confident will be long-lasting," said Brad Squires, Vice President, Maintenance Connection, Inc. Continuing, he fondly reflected on how "some of our team members even had the opportunity to make paper airplanes with several little kids who had watched our team working at one of the centers."

The trip was a major success for the CMMS firm, and, most importantly, the children of Cambodia. Its team is looking forward to making similar trips in the future to assist underprivileged individuals.
