Part of the largest not-for-profit wish granting organization in the world, Make-A-Wish® Quebec today announced that it has entered into a partnership with agency performance media platform provider Acquisio. Through the terms of the partnership, Acquisio will donate 100% of the proceeds from its store, located at http://www.cafepress.com/acquisio, to the nonprofit organization.
“We’ve read the news stories and have seen the incredible things that Make-A-Wish Quebec has done for local children over the past seven years,” said Alexandre Pelletier, Director of Marketing at Acquisio. “And taking part in their 48 hour Ride for Wishes bike relay last year and seeing these kids first-hand had a really big impression on the whole Acquisio team. We’ve been brainstorming ways to raise additional funds for Make-A-Wish, and when we came up with the idea for the Acquisio storefront, everything became clear: we’d sell shirts, coffee mugs and other products to Acquisio fans, and would donate all of the proceeds to a cause that all of us feel really strongly about.”
Acquisio’s first experience with Make-A-Wish Quebec took place in September 2011, when Acquisio staffers took part in the organization’s annual 48 hour Ride for Wishes fundraiser. During that event, which raised a total of more than $850,000 for the foundation, the Acquisio team successfully raised more than $10,000—enough to ‘adopt’ a wish. As a result of Acquisio’s donation, a six-year-old Saint-Hyacinthe boy who suffers from cerebral palsy will be able to have his wish granted--a playroom adapted to his special needs.

Acquisio’s ongoing donation of store proceeds is just one part of the company’s partnership with the Make-A-Wish organization, according to Pelletier. “We’re planning fundraising events at our headquarters in Montreal to benefit Make-A-Wish Quebec, and our offices in London and Seattle are also going to be participating in raising funds for their local Make-A-Wish chapters. We’re also giving all of our employees paid leave to volunteer their time and talents to the Make-A-Wish program, as well as organizing teams for the upcoming 48 hour Ride for Wishes 2012.”
