According to the Santa Monica Patch, renowned chef Matthew Kenney has plans to open a new restaurant called M.A.K.E. in Santa Monica, California, this fall. The restaurant will offer only organic and raw food, meaning all menu options will be unprocessed, untreated and heated below 105 degrees. A few foods Kenney plans to feature include sweet corn ravioli with corn-mint pesto, kimchee dumplings, and an heirloom tomato lasagna with pistachio pesto and red pepper marinara. Chef Kenney operates another raw food restaurant, In the Raw, in Chicago.
Matthew Kenney is a raw food chef, restaurateur, educator and author. He has three restaurants, OKC located in Oklahoma City, In the Raw located in Chicago, and M.A.K.E. located in Santa Monica. Kenney also operates the Matthew Kenney Academy with locations in Oklahoma City and Santa Monica. Kenney is also the author of several raw food and dessert cook books, including Raw Food Real World, Everyday Raw, Entertaining in the Raw and Everyday Raw Desserts.
