“Our mission is to help law firm leaders be more effective in their challenging, often ill-defined, roles.”
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) October 03, 2012
Many of the nation’s most distinguished law firm management consultants will provide ideas and solutions for effective law firm leadership at the 2012 Managing Partner Forum (MPF) Leadership Conference on Friday, October 12, at the University Club of Chicago in Chicago, Ill.
The MPF is designed especially for law firm managing partners by law firm managing partners, with sessions developed and refined based on input from past participants and the Forum Advisory Board. Conference program topics focus on issues such as firm leadership, strategic planning, compensation systems, growth strategies, and marketing and business development. “Our mission is to help law firm leaders be more effective in their challenging, often ill-defined, roles,” according to John Remsen, Jr., president and CEO of the MPF.
This year’s fall Leadership Conference will begin with an opening general session featuring a keynote presentation by Remsen on “Characteristics of Today’s Most Successful Law Firms.” Remsen will include insights into how 160 managing partners grade their firms’ performances in critical firm-building areas. Following the keynote will be a highly energized and engaging general session panel discussion with Remsen; August Aquila, CEO of Aquila Global Advisors, LLC; John Sterling, president of Sterling Strategies; and Jay Jaffe, president and CEO of Jaffe PR.
Jaffe, Aquila and Sterling will each preside over one of the popular Managing Partner Idea Exchanges (MPIEs) in the afternoon. MPIE sessions have been an important part of the MPF conferences since 2003. Consistently rated by participants as the most valuable portion of the Forum, each MPIE offers an interactive format during which managing partners share ideas and solutions to the challenges of leading a successful law firm. In the 2012 fall MPIEs, Aquila will present “Using Compensation to Keep Partners Engaged in the Firm’s Future”; Jaffe will discuss “Law Firm Marketing: Latest Trends and Developments”; and Sterling will present “Law Firm Strategic Planning: What’s Working and What’s Not.”
