Central to 5 P.M. Central at Willowcrest Golf Course in Oak Brook, Illinois. Marcel Media is lending support for the event which is being organized by Marcel Media client, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, one of the nation's 100 top hospitals according to Thompson Healthcare. "Memorial Weekend Scramble" is also sponsored by Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago Rush, Fidelity Investments, and Arcadia Custom Home Builders.

In addition to this event co-sponsorship, Marcel Media has led Search Engine Marketing and Web 2.0 strategy for Evanston Northwestern Healthcare since 2003.

This year's golf outing will benefit the Bright Side of the Road Foundation, an organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, education, and cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease). ALS is a progressive, usually fatal, neurodegenerative disease caused by the degeneration of motor neurons, the nerve cells in the central nervous system that control voluntary muscle movement.

"We expect over 30 golfers from across the Midwest, including members of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare's executive management staff," said A.J. Melaragno, Assistant Vice-President Interactive Marketing, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. "We are making a donation with the hopes that a cure can be found in the near future while enjoying a great afternoon of golf."
