About the Author
Marcos A. Alvarez graduated from the University of Havana as public accountant and attorney, in addition to managing his family business since he was a young man until after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. He had the opportunity to know personally many of the individuals that during this crucial time leading and during of the revolution had a role in the shaping path of democracy ardently desired by the country but betrayed. After coming to the United States, Dr. Alvarez received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Law from New York State University, Marist College. Professionally, he have had fulfilling practice and personally, pursued his passion, history, culminating in researching and analyzing material being published about a period he knows well. His experience in the educational field identifies the need to have a balance dose of facts, documentation, and evidence to develop and maintain a level of critical thinking that reinforces responsibility to uphold the truth.
