As the company continues to grow in pursuit of its mission for the common good, Newman’s Own®, Inc is expanding distribution of its new line of frozen pizzas to 30% of the US (Source: IRI-Newman's Own, Inc), as of August 2009. The expansion reflects strong performance since first launching Newman’s Own® Thin & Crispy frozen pizza into five test markets less than a year ago. September 2009 heralds the arrival of Margherita, the most popular flavor in the thin and crispy pizza category.

Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizza now features five varieties with the launch of Margherita. Like all Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizzas, the new Margherita variety combines a distinctively delicious, all-natural thin crust with generous portions of first-rate toppings. Delivering on the prevalent consumer call for ‘all-natural’ and ‘high quality,’ all Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizzas contain full-bodied, hand-selected, all-natural ingredients; 0 grams of transfats; multi-grain, flaxseed crust and no artificial ingredients.

Our new pizzas live up to the high expectations that consumers have for Newman’s Own products. The five varieties of Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizzas include: Margherita; Supreme; Four Cheese; Roasted Garlic and Chicken; Uncured Pepperoni; all carry the promise that Newman’s Own (NO) says NO to artificial ingredients. The entire line of pizzas contain none of the following ingredients: modified food starch; partially hydrogenated soybean; partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil; artificial flavor; modified corn starch; sodium tripolyphosphate; sodium phosphate; l-glumatic acid or sodium nitrate.

Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizza retails for a suggested price of $6.49, comparable with premium national brands. The line is available primarily in the Northeast and Western regions of the U.S., as well as in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, at such major retailers as: Safeway; Stop and Shop; Dominick’s; Kroger Fred Meyer; Kroger King Soopers; Shaw’s; Hannaford; Demoulas; Harris Teeter, Giant Maryland and Dominick’s.
