Mark Stewart Home Design Designs First Custom Home for ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Mark Stewart Home Design of Portland designs a 3,981 square foot Prairie Home free of charge in partnership with the ABC national television program "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". The home was designed for the family of an Army veteran, the Westbrook's, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) April 24, 2007 -- Portland home design firm, Mark Stewart Home Design designed the first true custom home for ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which aired Sunday, April 22nd at 8:00 p.m. PST.
Mark Stewart Home Design, known nationally for the prairie home design, was the first ever to partner with the primetime network television show to design a home. The custom-designed four bedroom, three and a half bathroom, nearly 4,000 square foot Prairie-style home was designed pro bono, to meet the unique needs of the Westbrook family in Lawton, Okla.
The Westbrook family is recovering and coping with an injury that occurred during Mr. Westbrook's tour in Iraq, leaving him without the use of his legs.
"Mark Stewart's design was a great hit," said Ron Nance, builder for the Lawton, Oklahoma Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project. "The home is beautiful and phenomenally functional for the Westbrook's needs. We were told over and over by the cast and crew that this was their favorite home."
