A yearly US$500 scholarship is being offered up to current or future marketing students who design the best marketing campaign for pay per click marketing firm Webrageous.
Students with a knack for social networking and a keen interest in marketing are encouraged to apply to Webrageous’ new Marketing Scholarship Competition in order to help finance their studies.
Webrageous Director of Marketing David Chapman said the firm decided to offer the marketing scholarship after recognizing the difficulties of many students to pay for their college degrees as well as an attempt to encourage qualifications in the marketing industry.
“We understand that in many nations, such as the US, education is unaffordable for many. We want to encourage people to study marketing, which is why we are opening up this scholarship opportunity to people all over the world,” Mr. Chapman said.

Webrageous’ Marketing Scholarship Competition also gives students the opportunity to show off their marketing abilities and receive publicity for their efforts by creating a winning marketing campaign for Webrageous.
By entering the competition, they not only have the opportunity to win the scholarship, but many entrants may also have their marketing campaign featured, along with their name and the name of their school, on Webrageous’ website.
In order to apply to the Webrageous Marketing Scholarship Competition, applicants need only come up with an idea for a marketing campaign, albeit a creative post on our site or having an article accepted to a high-profile blog that links back to Webrageous.
If we like the idea then we will set it up and release it and then the candidate can work on getting as many links and tweets to that campaign or article as possible. The candidate who achieves the biggest amount of hype will win the scholarship.
