Marketing Advocate, a leader in demand generation for technology companies and their value-added resellers, has named Ian Pennell the company’s Chief Sales Officer.

Before joining Marketing Advocate, Pennell was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Small Business Group and previously he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cisco’s Enterprise Access Routing Technology Group. He has also served as a member of the board of Ring Central. Before joining Cisco, Pennell held a number of senior sales, marketing and engineering positions across a series of technology startups. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Internet and telecommunications industries, and has been instrumental in in the vision and development of some of the industry’s most successful solutions, including Cisco’s Integrated Service Routers. He is a graduate of Bishops University Business School.
