2012 survey by MarketResearchCareers harnesses the satisfaction levels of research buyers to rank 66 suppliers across five market segments

This year's results reveal a new set of top-ranked suppliers given declining industry-wide satisfaction levels with customer service and price

The fourth annual Market Research Supplier Satisfaction Survey commissioned by MarketResearchCareers reveals the research organizations that deliver the highest levels of satisfaction to their clients in 2012.

The survey, conducted between July 30 and August 16, 2012, captured the satisfaction levels along six dimensions as reported by a supplier's own clients. In total, 550 market research professionals evaluated more than 100 suppliers across five market segments.

"This year's results reveal a new set of top-ranked suppliers given declining industry-wide satisfaction levels with customer service and price," said Mike Carroll, Director of Sales and Marketing for MarketResearchCareers. "As the buyers of market research services experience increasing workloads, constrained staffing levels, and tightening budgets, the needs and expectations for suppliers have dramatically shifted in the past year," said Carroll.

The top research suppliers in 2012, ranked by overall satisfaction, by market segment include:

Qualitative Research Providers (8 suppliers ranked)

  •     Flamingo
  •     C+R Research
  •     TNS

Full Service Research Providers (21 suppliers ranked)

"We wish to extend our congratulations to these top-ranked market research suppliers as they delivered the highest level of performance to their customers in 2012," said Carroll. "We encourage all suppliers to remain agile, listen to the needs of their clients, and reprioritize based upon their customers' needs," said Carroll.
