“We hope the book and the film bring community awareness to the issue of Traumatic Brain Injury,” says Matt Faulkner. “This is a great example of what modern medicine can accomplish to help all of us.”

Energy consulting firm, BidURenergy, Inc. (BUE), is delighted to announce that one of its employees – Matt Faulkner – is the focus of a film and a book to be released later this month. Both are moving accounts of Faulkner’s remarkable recovery from a major accident he suffered four years ago.
The film, titled “Recovery,” produced by Faulkner’s good friend, Ryan Monolopolus, is a documentary piece that examines the nature of recovery through various lenses. Faulkner’s recovery is considered a medical miracle by most standards, and he has big things planned to spread awareness of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). A book titled “Most Likely to Survive,” written by Matt Faulkner and Joe Kirchmyer, is also set for release with the film. It details Faulkner’s incident from tragedy, to recovery, to his life today.
Faulkner, a West Seneca native, was a passenger in a t-bone style car accident that nearly took his life in March, 2009. The accident left him in a deep coma for two months with little hope of recovery. Against all odds, he is set to graduate from Canisius College in May and is currently working as a business analyst for BUE.
“We hope the book and the film bring community awareness to the issue of Traumatic Brain Injury,” says Faulkner. “This is a great example of what modern medicine can accomplish to help all of us.”
Both the book and the film are set for release on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at 7:00pm in the University at Buffalo – Center for the Arts. The film will be screened, and attendees can order copies of “Recovery” on DVD. Copies of “Most Likely to Survive” will also be available for purchase that night. A $5 good-will donation is requested at the door – doors open at 6:30pm; seating is limited.
