After looking for almost a year, comparing and researching several possibilities, I kept coming back to Maui Wowi. I just couldn’t get past the casual, yet professional environment. It matched my personality to a tee and so, my decision was made.

Maui Wowi Hawaiian has embraced a new franchisee on his journey to realizing that paradise is not lost. Bryan Rupert brings with him valuable life experiences, both professional and personal, that he is now ready to use towards fulfilling a dream for his future as a Maui Wowi Franchisee in Lothian, Maryland.

“I’m kind of a laid back, mellow guy and was looking for something that fit my personality,” Rupert said. “After looking for almost a year, comparing and researching several possibilities, I kept coming back to Maui Wowi. I just couldn’t get past the casual, yet professional environment; it matched my personality to a tee and so, my decision was made.”

Rupert spent 20 years proudly serving his country in the Navy as a Cryptologic Technical Radioman and retired in 2003. He knew it was time for a fresh start, however, life seemed to throw him a few hurdles along the way until the day came that he decided he could still find paradise and that it would be called Maui Wowi. “I realized that it was time for a change,” said Rupert.

The Maui Wowi franchise model became the perfect fit for Rupert to turn things around. He enjoyed the quality Hawaiian coffees, as well as the company’s healthy, fresh fruit smoothies. After researching, Rupert discovered that there was a need for this type of concept in central Maryland and that the best way to begin would be with a fixed kiosk. “It seems like it’s almost impossible not to find a good place for a Maui Wowi. There isn’t a mall I couldn’t put it in,” he said.

From the variety of flexible business models, Rupert chose the fixed kiosk with the vision of growing his business and ultimately having a store location with multiple other units in operation simultaneously. Rupert has successfully completed a week long training program at the Maui Wowi Hawaiian headquarters that provided him with the necessary knowledge and tools to bring that vision to life.
