This makes Maytech a natural choice in order to optimize their global data distribution requirements and share data across the world, quickly and securely whilst maintaining control
London (PRWEB UK) 14 September 2012
Leading large file transfer company, Maytech, has added Sydney as a service point to its increasingly expanding global infrastructure, which underpins their FTP-Stream service, providing a flexible file transfer and data distribution platform and faster file transfer rates across the world.
The addition of Sydney as a service point illustrates the growing demand for a secure and speedy way to distribute and share data both locally and internationally. Australian customers will now have the ability to optimise data transfer rates locally and benefit from the peace of mind that they can also store data locally.
This further enhances Maytech’s global network, which follows the roll-out of FTP-Stream services beyond the existing infrastructure in London, New York and Hong Kong. Further service points are soon to be added, which include Singapore and Dubai amongst others. The service points are located at Tier 3 data centres.
Following an extensive analysis of the benefits of moving to the cloud, rather than maintaining a costly in-house infrastructure, Maytech has been chosen by a $6bn Australian company in the energy sector as their global provider of SFTP hosting services, utilizing Maytech’s four global data Hubs.
“We are delighted to be working with this global giant and it really highlights the efficiencies in workflow optimization and cost saving over time that FTP-Stream provides to global organisations whose workflows are changing due to the necessity for follow the sun workflows and internal strategies where data storage is moving out of the basement into the cloud,” said Maytech Marketing Director John Lynch.
Whilst the new Australian service point will allow clients to share data worldwide, it also allows Maytech to cater for local companies who want their data stored in their region. The latest Australian customer to join Maytech deals with companies all over the world and has a number of offices scattered around the globe.
“This makes Maytech a natural choice in order to optimize their global data distribution requirements and share data across the world, quickly and securely whilst maintaining control” concluded Lynch.
