Colorado Springs, Colorado (PRWEB) October 25, 2010

As party-going goblins and ghosts plan their Halloween festivities, a local law firm is helping make sure everyone has a safe ride at the end of the night. For the third year in a row, McDivitt Law Firm will be providing its Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program for adults who have been drinking or who don’t feel they have a safe way to get home on Halloween.

“We hope people will take action and make plans to get home safely before they go out on Halloween," attorney Mike McDivitt, founder of McDivitt Law Firm. "Remember to give your keys to a designated driver or call Yellow Cab and tell them the ride is on McDivitt Law Firm.”

Treat Yourself to a Free Ride Home

The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available in Colorado Springs from 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, through 3 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010.

For a free ride home within Colorado Springs city limits, call Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777 and tell them the ride is on McDivitt Law Firm.

Rides are provided to an individual’s residence—not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on Halloween, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests. For the safety of all drivers, patrons are asked to remove any masks or facial coverings while riding in cabs. Drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares.

McDivitt Law Firm launched its first Safe and Sober program on New Year’s Eve 2007. Since then, the firm has covered the cost for more than 4,000 safe rides home. In September 2010, McDivitt Law Firm was honored by the Pikes Peak DUI Task Force for its efforts to prevent drunk driving.
