Donna Greenspan Solomon to Chair “The Art of Objecting: A Trial Lawyer’s Guide to Preserving Error for Appeal” Presented by the Florida Bar
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- Appellate specialist, mediator and arbitrator Donna Greenspan Solomon, Esq., will serve as guest speaker and Program Chair for “The Art of Objecting: A Trial Lawyer’s Guide to Preserving Error for Appeal.” The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida will host the event on March 14, 2014, and a webcast will be broadcast from the same location. The all-day course will offer continuing legal education credits that may be applied to satisfy CLER / Certification requirements. During the seminar, Solomon will team up with Roy Oppenheim, a leading foreclosure defense attorney, to talk about “Working with Appellate Lawyers at the Trial Level.”
“This will be a very informative seminar,” says Solomon, a former CPA with an MBA in finance. “We have three judges from the Fourth District Court of Appeal and one retired Third District Court of Appeal judge to speak about preservation pitfalls, jury instructions and verdict forms, and post-judgment motions.”
One of only two attorneys certified by The Florida Bar as both Appellate Specialist and Business Litigator, Solomon is also a Certified Circuit, Appellate, and Family Mediator, as well as a qualified and FINRA-approved Arbitrator. After graduating at the top of her class from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, she clerked at the Fourth District Court of Appeal for Justice Barbara J. Pariente. Solomon was with the national law firm of Edwards Angell Palmer and Dodge for twelve years before opening her own practice in 2011.
