Providing Quality Medical Care
Focusing on Functional Medicine and Nutrition, Dr. Myers believes in a comprehensive approach to health care that focuses on prevention and finding the underlying or root cause of illness, instead of simply treating the symptoms of disease with prescription medications. Functional Medicine is a science-based approach to healing; the basic principle is that every individual is unique and therefore no single treatment will be ideal for everyone. This approach is individualized for every patient’s health needs and focuses on a patient-centered model of care. Functional Medicine is based seven key principles that will help every individual to achieve optimal health, and these principles include optimizing nutrition, correcting digestion issues, improving detoxification, finding inflammation in the body, balancing hormones, boosting the metabolism, and calming the mind. Common conditions that are treated in patients include allergies, asthma, ADHD, autism, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, detoxification, fatigue, fertility, fibromyalgia, skin disorders, thyroid imbalances and weight gain.
