Beer and wine really compliment the food we serve here.
(Vocus/PRWEB) May 20, 2011
Popular Hayes Valley restaurant Original Hayes and Kebab now offers beer and wine with their traditional Mediterranean dishes. The San Francisco Mediterranean restaurant offers five beers on tap including Blue Moon, 21st Amendment IPA, Amstel, Sierra Nevada and Stella Artois. Their wine list changes every month depending on the ratings of Wine Spectator.
With the addition of adult beverages, the restaurant is now hosting happy hour from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with beer on tap for $3 and house wine by the glass for $4.
“Beer and wine really compliment the food we serve here,” said Bawer Tekin, owner of Original Hayes and Kebab. “Many people like having a glass of wine or a beer with their dinner. The atmosphere is more relaxed and fun since we added them to the menu.”
Original Hayes and Kebab serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine including falafels, chicken and beef wraps, shish kebabs, spanakopita, and dolmas made from the freshest ingredients. Bawer and his brother Emin choose produce by hand every morning at the market. “If they deliver it, they will bring you the stuff that’s left over—that no one picked up,” said Bawer. He designed everything on the menu based on cooking techniques and recipes that have been handed down through his family for ages.
