Having been involved with good business and good music (and experienced their evil twins, too), I expect this forum to be of interest and value – not only to the attendees, but to me as well.

Megatrax Production Music, the leading independent production music source for film, broadcast, advertising and multimedia, continues its 20th Anniversary celebration with Randy Hart’s participation on the panel “Professionalism: Adding Good Business, With Good Music” at this week’s Southern Entertainment Awards & Conference in Memphis, TN. Hart’s panel takes place in the late morning of this Saturday, March 5th.

Says Hart, “Having been involved with good business and good music (and experienced their evil twins, too), I expect this forum to be of interest and value – not only to the attendees, but to me as well.”

Randy Hart is the Director of Creative Services for Megatrax Music's Aircast Production division. He began his career in the music business at the age of 15, selling tickets at his high school for a local promoter to concerts that included Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin and The Who. In 1978 he began an 8-year stint as the bandleader and road manager for entertainer Roger Miller. He moved to Nashville during his time with Miller, and went on to become the bandleader for then up-and-coming singer/ songwriter Steve Wariner. Since then, he has made a mark in music publishing as VP of both Famous Music and BMG Music Publishing and in production and licensing, and after 35 years in the music business, he believes in many respects that he’s just getting started.

The Southern Entertainment Awards & Conference is a four day conference and awards show that gathers music professionals, artists, DJs, fans, media outlets and more to network, build relationships and celebrate the culture of "Southern Entertainment." Held annually, the SEAs will return to Memphis, TN March 3-6, 2011 and will host more than 1,500 people who will experience panel discussions, artist showcases, networking opportunities, product demonstrations and of course, the awards ceremony.
