Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Launches 'South Wharf Meeting and Events' Booking Service

The new deluxe Hilton Melbourne South Wharf and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) have come together to form 'South Wharf Meeting and Events', a streamlined comprehensive small to medium-sized meetings and events product and booking process for event organisers.

The opening of the new deluxe Hilton Melbourne South Wharf and the new '6 Star Green Star' environmentally rated Melbourne Convention Centre this year, presents a brand new perspective to booking small to medium‐sized meetings and events in Melbourne.

Hilton Melbourne South Wharf and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) have come together to form 'South Wharf Meeting and Events', a streamlined comprehensive small to medium‐sized meetings and events product and booking process for event organisers.

MCEC chief executive Leigh Harry said, 'This is a complete small to medium‐sized meetings and events product that combines the award‐winning MCEC's service and meetings facility with Hilton's world renowned service, experience and facilities.'

South Wharf Meetings and Events takes full advantage of the direct internal access between the Melbourne Convention Centre and the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf, while providing event planners with the ability to seamlessly plan and book their next small meeting or event utilising both facilities via the South Wharf Meetings and Events "One Stop" booking process.

'As well as being able to host large international conventions, when it comes to small to medium‐sized meeting and events, the convention centre offers 32 meeting rooms of various sizes with numerous break‐out areas and breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Melbourne city skyline,' Leigh said.
