Melissa A. Scartelli, a Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pa. personal injury attorney, will present a “Social Media Discovery” continuing legal education (CLE) seminar on August 24, 2011 as part of a larger program offered by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute.
The president and founder of Scartelli, Distasio & Kowalski, P.C., Scartelli will address the topics of discovery and social media during the CLE program at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Registration for the day will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the first program will begin at 1 p.m. One ethics and two substantive credits will be offered to participants; the cost for the program is $175 for lawyers, $50 for paralegals, and $25 for claim representatives and risk managers. Scartelli previously secured the largest recorded verdict in Luzerne County on behalf of an elderly patient when a jury awarded $970,000 to a then-91-year-old woman, who fell from a hospital bed.
