International Network Strategy Is Key To Winning Business, Says Managing Partner of Hungarian Accounting Firm

Leading Budapest accounting firm Memolux Ltd has joined international professional services network MSI in order to build its international client base, compete more effectively, and offer its clients a wider range of services.

In a strategic move to increase its profile and competitiveness in Hungary, Memolux Ltd has joined MSI Legal & Accounting Network Worldwide (MSI).

“Whether pitching for new work or servicing existing clients, we are always asked whether we can provide the same services in countries across Central and Eastern Europe,” says István Rajkai, Memolux’s Managing Partner. “Companies need to be able to establish an overseas presence quickly, and our membership of MSI will enable us to speed up these procedures and cut costs along the way for the client.”

Rajkai adds: “Our previous inability to reach out to international associates meant we were often unable to compete for new international business as effectively as we would have liked.”

“We were approached by a number of international networks, but were impressed by MSI’s infrastructure, its strength across the two professions, and its geographic coverage. Memolux is now in a much stronger position to win business from internationally focused clients.”

With more and more multinational companies considering Hungary as a potential investment location, it is becoming increasingly important that Hungarian professional services firms are able to demonstrate established links with associate firms in different marketplaces. As a member of MSI’s international network of member firms, Memolux can build strong relationships with more than 240 similar sized accounting and law firms in the world’s major commercial centres.

Memolux, which was briefly part of KPMG in the mid-1990s, is a full-service accountancy, audit and tax consultancy firm with a team of 40 accountants who are able to provide advice across a wide spectrum of industry sectors. The firm is heavily focused on serving international businesses and not-for-profit organisations.

“We plan to use our MSI membership to position ourselves as the alternative option for international companies requiring services throughout Central and Eastern Europe, and indeed across the world,” adds Rajkai.
