American Mensa Reveals Top Ten Romantic Comedies of All Time

Members of the High IQ Community, Mensa, share their top ten favorite romantic comedies for Valentine's Day.

A winner on every level. It has multiple wonderful story lines, actors and music.

In a recent survey of randomly selected Mensa members, Breakfast at Tiffany’s was voted as the best romantic comedy. This classic film that catapulted Audrey Hepburn into the collective hearts of movie-goers everywhere was described by one member as, “A winner on every level. It has multiple wonderful story lines, actors and music. There are so many characters to root for; there’s not a dud in the bunch.”

The top-10 list of romantic comedies, as selected by Mensa members includes:

  •     Breakfast at Tiffany’s
  •     Annie Hall
  •     When Harry Met Sally
  •     The Princess Bride
  •     Pretty Woman
  •     Sleepless in Seattle
  •     Barefoot in the Park
  •     Romancing the Stone
  •     Father of the Bride
  •     Bringing up Baby.

The complete survey was dissected further, as Mensa members do love data. The results highlighted interesting differences, as female survey responders were pitted against male responders.
