The Boys to Men Mentoring Network provides help to underprivileged teenage boys in the form of providing them with mentors who help them make the correct choices in life regarding their families, their education and their overall lifestyles. As part of its ongoing effort to raise funds for the program, the organization annually holds what is known as the 100 Wave Challenge on the beaches of San Diego. Interested parties are encouraged to volunteer to help run the event, to participate in the surfing competition and to raise funds. The network hereby announces that it will hold its Kickoff Barbecue on June 25, 2013.
The Kickoff Party is an event that is designed to provide those interested in helping with the 100 Wave Challenge with an opportunity to learn more about how they can donate their time to both promote the event and to manage it. Anyone interested in raising funds for the event and/or for the organization is also encouraged to attend this barbecue, as all of the details necessary to get started on this effort will be provided at that time.
The Kickoff Barbecue will be held at Bird’s Surf SHED on June 25 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Bird’s Surf SHED is located at 1091 West Morena Boulevard in San Diego. People who attend the barbecue will be provided with hot dogs and beverages as they learn more about how they can set up their own campaigns to bring about awareness to this event and to the San Diego Boys to Men Mentoring Network on a larger scale.

About the San Diego Boys to Men Mentoring Network
The San Diego Boys to Men Mentoring Network is a charitable organization that seeks out and trains successful adult males to serve as mentors for teenage boys from all walks of life, however, some are considered to be at risk for difficult lives. To date, more than 5,300 boys have participated in the program and boys between the ages of 13 and 17 are eligible for mentoring.
