Desert Property Investor this morning announced their support of the construction of the Barry and Peggy Goldwater Library and Archives in downtown Mesa, a move signaling increased economic opportunities for the area.

Following an article that appeared in Arizona Newszap, Desert Property Investor concluded that the proposed construction of a Barry Goldwater Library means buying investment property close to the Goldwater library site should become more attractive
for real estate developers. Mesa property management in particular should flourish, in line with local hospitality, tourism and entertainment enterprises catering to the 57,000 or so visitors estimated to arrive in the first year after library construction is completed.

Arizona Newszap reported that downtown Mesa will house the Barry and Peggy Goldwater Library and Archives. The construction of the library is big news for Mesa, having as well a collateral benefit* of increased economic opportunity for the city. This has already been evidenced in the construction of a new university, and extension of light rail in the area.

*A collateral benefit is a side value that accrues from the unfolding of an event of greater importance.

Desert Property concluded that the proposed construction of a Barry Goldwater Library in Mesa, while a significant cultural and historical milestone in its own right, also means increased economic opportunity for Arizonans in the tourism, hospitality, and vacation property management professions.
