Maternal & Family Health Services, Inc. (MFHS) has been selected to present a poster session titled "Innovative Technologies - Maternal and Family Health Services Kiosk" during the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing and Media to be held in Atlanta, GA. The poster will feature the health education & referral kiosk system that MFHS launched throughout its service area in early 2012.

MFHS launched the kiosk system at health centers throughout their 16 county service area in Pennsylvania. The new MFHS kiosk, developed by St. Andrews Development, Inc., is an innovative tool that provides health education for MFHS program participants and a referral system to help guide participants to other available services. These bilingual self-service touch-screen kiosks feature easy to understand information, interactive quizzes, surveys and videos, creating a new way to reach health consumers with critical information.

The poster session at the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing, and Media will highlight features of the kiosk, including education modules and the “Do I Qualify?” section, which helps participants connect with programs that they may be eligible for, along with the next steps to enroll. New and upcoming features of the kiosk, including a web based version, will also be reviewed.
