M-Files Easy Document Management Software

This year was especially difficult

Motive Systems, the developer of M-Files document management software announced it has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring's Europe 100 award, a prestigious list that honors the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the European business region.

Motive Systems offers M-Files, an innovative document management solution that is helping businesses in a variety of industries around the globe increase efficiency and productivity by organizing and managing important business documents and information. Document management technology has traditionally been complex and expensive, accessible only to large enterprises with extensive IT resources. M-Files changes that by focusing on ease of use without trading off features, making professional document management capabilities accessible to any company or organization.

The finalists for the 2010 edition of the Red Herring 100 Europe were the most innovative companies selected by the Red Herring editorial team from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries. During the several months leading up to the announcement, hundreds of companies in the telecommunications, security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech, and cleantech industries sent in their submissions to qualify for the award.

This unique assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the actual track record and standing of a company, which allows Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

“This year was especially difficult,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “Despite the challenging global economy, we had a difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists from the many great companies producing innovative and amazing products. Motive Systems, however, stood out as a unique company that is managed well, growing fast and offering an exciting product that is applicable to literally any business.”

“We’re extremely pleased to have been selected as a Red Herring 100 Europe finalist,” said Antti Nivala, CEO of Motive Systems. “We’ve worked hard to create a solution in M-Files that has the potential to dramatically increase the productivity of businesses worldwide, and in addition to our growing customer base and revenue, the acknowledgement by Red Herring is one more indicator that we’re succeeding.”

The Finalists are invited to present their winning strategies at the Red Herring Europe Conference in Paris, May 25-27, 2010. The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on May 27 at the event.
