Michael Millett, a criminal defense attorney who focuses on misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in Federal, State, Municipal, Juvenile, and Appellate Courts in the State of Kansas, is proud to be celebrating another successful year as an attorney licensed to practice in the state.
Attorney Michael Millett received his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. After passing the Kansas bar exam in 1997, he was admitted to the Kansas Bar. At the start of his career, Millett worked for the Public Defender’s Office in Junction City, Kansas. He was later recruited to the Law Firm of Marrietta, Kellogg, and Price in Salina. Michael Millett has also worked for Berman and Rabin, P.A. in Overland Park. He started his own practice in June of 2002 and now handles criminal defense cases all across the state of Kansas.

In the course of his career in Kansas law, Attorney Michael Millett has focused largely on criminal defense. Over the years, he has seen his practice evolve and grow to include construction law, contract litigation, and domestic law. Earlier this year, he stood before the Kansas Supreme Court and argued a case that had state-wide importance (Case No. 104,316: Stanley Bank vs. Bazin Excavating, Inc.) It was the second time that Attorney Michael Millett had argued a case on behalf of a client before the Kansas Supreme Court.

Attorney Michael Millett handles cases in DUI defense, criminal defense, traffic ticket defense, construction law, domestic law, contract litigation, and insurance defense. Since beginning his career in law, he has handled cases all over the state of Kansas. He has argued in Federal Court and before the Court of Appeals. To date, Michael Millett has only lost one jury trial. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association, and the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
