The clinic acting as drop centers has inspired others to do the same, so the drop centers ballooned making it possible to accumulate enough food and supplies to fill a whole container.

The last hurricane has shocked New Jersey and New York residents, as the damages brought by Sandy have almost crippled the city. As most families living in the region are still struggling to recover, relief efforts and assistance from the local government, organizations, businesses are non-stop to ensure that all affected families get the help they need.
Michael Pendolino of North Shore Spine and Rehab is one of the people that helped raised awareness and donations for the victims of hurricane Sandy.
Mr. Pendolino, did more than just raise concerns for the families affected by the storm that left a path of destruction, damage, and grief on its way out, but he also made a little boys wish come true.
According to the doctor, the idea to raise donations came from a 6-year-old boy that wanted to do something for the residents of New York and his mother helped him. The effort of the boy’s mother paid off as the doctor started promoting “Project Sandy” to patients, family members, and friends.
“We are not a major organizer, but just people that want to help,” says Michael Pendolino. “The clinic acting as drop centers has inspired others to do the same, so the drop centers ballooned making it possible to accumulate enough food and supplies to fill a whole container.”
Through the community effort, the different drop centers including the North Shore clinic in Cumings Park, Woburn that opened Monday to Friday were successful in their campaign as many people drop by to donate foods, medicines, and clothing.
