Burning Tree is pleased to announce the return of Michael Smith to the Business Development team, which kicks off an exciting new phase in the marketing efforts for Burning Tree. Smith accepted the newly created position as Director of Multimedia Marketing because it combined two of his passions, Burning Tree’s philosophy and multi-media marketing.

I agreed with their philosophy of working with Chronic Relapsers and I wanted to be a part of what they were doing.

Burning Tree officially announced today that Michael Smith is joining the Burning Tree staff as the Director of Multimedia Marketing. Burning Tree is committed to being accessible through current and up-and-coming technology in an effort to expand Burning Tree’s role in the addiction community and in the general public. Burning Tree serves as a significant resource to anyone looking to find drug and alcohol treatment for themselves or a loved one and is a long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping people with a history of chronic relapse reclaim their lives.

Smith began working for the Texas treatment center in 2007 even though he had to commute from the state of Maine. He states, “I began working for Burning Tree as a Business Development Consultant and my focus was on the East Coast. I found Burning Tree through a mutual friend and I was drawn to the organization for one reason and one reason only – I agreed with their philosophy of working with Chronic Relapsers and I wanted to be a part of what they were doing.” Smith quickly came on full-time at Burning Tree and moved to Texas in 2008, where he focused on the national marketing efforts and building relationships with treatment providers around the country. To fulfill a lifelong goal, Smith left Burning Tree in the spring of 2010 to continue his education at The University of North Texas in Human Services Management. But Smith couldn’t stay away for long and says, “Burning Tree feels like home to me.”

Burning Tree has two facilities in Texas, one outside of Austin and one just outside of Dallas. Burning Tree offers long-term drug and alcohol treatment for those who have had numerous failed attempts at recovery.
