Food, fashion and fun for mothers, daughters, sisters and girlfriends at the eighteenth annual Michigan International Women’s Show, May 2 - 5 at Novi's Suburban Collection Showplace with shopping, cooking, fashion shows, makeovers and entertainment. Meet Sean Lowe from ABC’s reality series “The Bachelor” and "Dancing with the Stars," Jessica Robertson from A&E’s reality series “Duck Dynasty,” Season 8 Food Network Star finalist Linkie Marais, experience hundreds of exhibitors displaying cosmetics, fragrances, lingerie, purses, shoes, gifts, décor items, food, fashion, accessories and arts and crafts and enjoy the Michigan International Women's Show produced by Southern Shows.

The 18th annual Michigan International Women’s Show opens Thursday, May 2 and runs through Sunday, May 5 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi featuring realty show stars, shopping, cooking, fashion shows, makeovers and hundreds of exhibitors displaying cosmetics, fragrances, lingerie, purses, shoes, gifts, décor items, food, fashion, accessories, travel information, arts and crafts, and more.

“Bring your mom, sister or girlfriend and be prepared to be entertained, find new looks and discover the latest fashion trends,” said Beth Anderson, executive show manager of Southern Shows.

Sean Lowe from ABC’s romance reality series “The Bachelor” will tell how he found his soul mate and about his upcoming wedding and share his experiences from ABC’s dance competition series “Dancing With The Stars.” (Thursday)

Jessica Robertson from A&E’s reality television series “Duck Dynasty,” will answer questions about being married to the youngest Robertson son, Jep and her four children, Lily, Merritt, Priscilla, and River. (Saturday)

Season 8 Food Network Star finalist, cake artist and chef Linkie Marais will relate during her cooking demonstrations her passion for food, reality show involvement and provide show goers tastes of her creations.

Warren Caterson, author of “Table for Two—The Cookbook for Couples” will reveal time-saving kitchen tips and helpful cooking hints as he uses fresh and readily available ingredients for dinner in under an hour with a minimum of leftovers.

Women can balance it all at the “Balance Your Life” pavilion exhibits and Balance Your Life Stage educational workshops with features on health, fashion, beauty, travel business and all aspects of a woman’s life and meet Danielle Knox, host of “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime Television.

United Dairy Industry of Michigan will present “Easy Cooking with Dairy,” Fortune Cooking with Chef Tom Lin will show “Asian Fusion Cuisine,” Dago Joe’s Specialty Foods will demonstrate gourmet Italian, Detroit Free Press food writer and test kitchen director Susan Selasky will prepare artichoke and red pepper pizza bites and guacamole and baked tortilla chips, southern cooking radio host chef Lisa Lofton Shively will feature “The Spice is Right” and other chefs will provide cooking tips and recipes in the Stonebridge Kitchen & Bath Cooking Theater.

Spring makeup trends and helpful cosmetic tips will be part of the makeovers offered by Macy’s beauty experts along with an array of new spring scents.

Chevrolet will display their latest cars and let show attendees test drive them to receive a $10 Target gift card courtesy of Chevrolet.

Farmers Insurance will offer seminars or individual agent meetings to help you plan for life events including auto, home, life and other insurance questions.

Author and therapist featured in “The Wall Street Journal” and Cosmopolitan and on ABC’s “Katie” and Fox TV-Detroit, professor Terri Orbuch, The Love Doctor, will share her insight and provide advice on “Love, Money and Sex.”

Novi Fire Department’s charity fashion show will heat up the runway Friday and Saturday with firefighters modeling their dress blues and bunker gear. Guardian Angel Animal Rescue will sponsor “Pawject Runway-Fido Fashion Show” featuring canine couture, essentials and adoption information.

Health screenings for blood pressure and glucose will be available from the Kroger Pharmacy at the Kroger Pavilion for show guests.

Custom-blended botanically infused French skin care and handcrafted cosmetics from Votre Vu will be featured in their VuBAR Airstream with complementary makeovers and product sampling.

The 18th annual Michigan International Women’s Show is presented by The Detroit News and sponsored by Kroger, Chevrolet, The Balancing Act, Farmers Insurance and United Dairy Industry of Michigan. Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Avenue between Novi and Beck Road in Novi. Show hours are 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10; youth 6 – 12 are $5 and children 5 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Advance tickets are $8 online. Discount tickets are available at Kroger for $7.
