My past held many negative memories and I wanted to share how I have moved past them and how I am living a happy life in the present moment.

Hoping to help readers from all walks of life, author Mick has penned “I Healed from My Past and So Can You: Living with a Secret” (published by Balboa Press) to bring his motivational speeches and life philosophies to a wider audience.
Mick regales readers with different ways to heal themselves from past choices and mistakes, chapter by chapter. “Choosing to be happy and have a positive attitude in life can drastically change the way your life turns out,” he says. “My past held many negative memories and I wanted to share how I have moved past them and how I am living a happy life in the present moment.”
An excerpt from “I Healed from My Past and So Can You”:
“Anger was a big part of my life. I was angry at God, my mother, my father, my brother, and so many other people. I was even angry that I existed. It upsets me to think how angry I was. I was angry about the circumstances into which I was born. How can God create a person and send him or her into the world with abusive and neglectful parents? I often wondered, 'Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this?' It was truly upsetting. I did know that anger was getting the better of me; I lost a lot because I often expressed my anger in destructive ways. But I also believe that everything happens for a reason. I had to get angry in order to learn to love myself. I had to love myself and learn that anger wasn’t a part of me.”
